Southern Generals' Amber Holt Named 2020 WUBA Most Valuable Player

ATLANTA, Dec. 26, 2020- Southern Generals forward Amber Holt was named the 2020 WUBA Most Valuable Player presented by Beautiful Ballers, the league announced today. Holt, who received 15 points (20 first place votes) from a national panel of 20 sportswriters and owners.
Players are awarded 10 points for each first-place vote, seven points for each second-place vote, five for third, three for fourth and one for each fifth-place vote received.
Holt, ranked 1stin the WUBA in scoring (23.8ppg, pacing the Generals) and third in rebounds (10.5rpg) while starting 10 of her 10 regular-season games and logging 40.0 minutes per contest.
She scored in double figures in 10 of 10 games, including a season-high 40 points against the Georgia Energy on Dec. 6. She finished the season with eight 20-point games and handed out four or more assists in 8 contests.
She also was the WUBA Player of the Month for November and December.
The Generals finished with the best record (10-0) in the league. Later to be named 2020 WUBA National Champions.
The Generals signed Holt with the idea that she would play a major role for the National Super League this summer of the WUBA. The Super League is regarded as the best women's league in the USA.
In honor of being named the 2020 WUBA Player of the Year, Holt will receive a specially designed trophy by the League office.
