Round 1: WUBA Player of the Week & results

WUBA: National League Round 1 of Regular Season 

The Regular Season in the National League just started. Here is the last round review presented by Trinity United.  

Southern Generals pass Georgia Lady Energy in Atlanta 60-50. The game was mostly controlled by the Lady Generals. Lady Energy managed to win the third quarter 14-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lady Energy to just 7 points in the fourth quarter. Southern Generals dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Energy's 20. They outrebounded the Lady Energy 30-22 including 15 on the defensive glass. The former WNBA forward Amber Holt posted 16 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals for the winners. Rookie guard Alexis Brown chipped in 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Lady Energy forward Myah Taylor produced a solid game by scoring11 points and 6 rebounds for the losing side. 

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of GIE Lady Matrix on the court of Atlanta Royalty. Visitors were defeated by the Royalty 66-57. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Deundria Clark who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assists. Olivia Lee contributed with 11 points and 4 rebounds for the winners. Lady Matrix point guard Briana Williams answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.  Toy Johnson added 16 points in a losing effort.
